Many months passed, lot of activities. With medical team in Yanzasa, Ecuador in May. Good trip, lot of patients. One happened to be a thirty five year old lady, who , obviously, for me, had originally been part of the Saraguro indian group, where we used to live and work in the seventies. I asked her where she was born, she said Saraguro. I said that I lived there in the seventies with my family. She quickly asked,, "what's your name?" I answered Dr. Kime. She exclaimed , you delivered me! " My mother was older, and having trouble birthing me, then the unbilical cord came out. She went to the clinic, you delivered me by ceserian section. I'm here because of you!"
Always fun to hear stories like that one.
We came to Pagosa after returning to the states, and have been here until now. Ready to go back to Az. in a week. Had a great summer. All but Dan and his family made it for the fourth week, parade, floats, horses, then fireworks watched from our deck. Played basketball with the old geysers, twice a week when in town. Leg better, can now shoot off both legs, and jump better!
Nancy and I had a good hiking week. Four nights in a tent, melodrama in Creede, hot springs in Idaho Springs, then on to Lonnie's for a couple days, and on to Scott's, watching him run the Pike's peak marathon.
Had some sun lakes visitor's for a few days too. Getting colder, only up to 61 degrees F. today.
These old bones ready for warmer clime.
Planning a trip to Ecuador again for about three weeks. One week in the foundation in Cuenca, a few days on the Coast with a medical team, and a few days seeing patients in Quito.
Still plan to play softball with the seventies, at least for their tournaments. Plan to spend Christmas in Okla. with Julie and family. Janice and Scott, with families may come too.
still luvin' it.
